Rome:
see Piazza Venezia, Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona,
Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Milan:
See the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and La Scala Opera
House. Chianti: Local wine tasting.
Walking tour of
Florence including the Duomo, Basilica Santa Croce, Giotto’s
Bell Tower, the Baptistry and Piazza della Sigoria. See a Florentine
leather craft demonstration. Verona: See Juliet’s
Balcony and the Roman Arena. Visit Pisa- see the
Leaning Tower. Venice-Motorboat trip to Piazza San
Marco, see demonstrations of Murano glass-blowing and Burano
lace-making, see the Bridge of Sighs, Doges’ Palace, and St. Mark’s
Square. Cinque Terre: Visit Monterosso, Portovenere,
and La Spezia. Cruise (weather permitting) and train along the

Trip Itinerary
Day 1
Depart USA
Fly from your hometown
on your overnight flight to Italy!
Day 2
Arrive
Rome:
Make your way to the
hotel, then the day is free to explore at leisure. Maybe start your
souvenir shopping or try an Italian gelato. Tonight, enjoy dinner
with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers. (D)
Day 3
Rome to Sorrento
After breakfast we
travel past Naples and Mt. Vesuvius where you’ll have
an opportunity to visit
the ancient city of Pompeii, then on to cliffside Sorrento with
marvelous views of the Bay of Naples. (B)
Day 4
Sorrento
- Isle of Capri
Our cruise takes
you to the Isle of Capri for a full day to enjoy its many
attractions, maybe take a funicular ride to cliff-top Anacapri, or
perhaps take the plunge into the crystal clear water or see the
famous Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Enjoy the beaches, shops
and scenery of this popular island resort. (B,D)
Day 5
Sorrento to Florence
Leaving behind the
stunning Amalfi coast we head north through Lazio and Umbria and
make a stop en-route to taste some local wine
before arriving in the Renaissance city of Florence. Tonight, dinner
with the group and then maybe join the locals in a club! (B,D)
Day 6
Florence Sightseeing
Your
day includes a walking tour seeing the Piazza della Signoria, the
Duomo and Santa Croce and a chance to shop for leather, gold and
silver. Also, in your free time maybe visit one of the citys’ many
museums or galleries in this
“city of art”, take time to see the awesome Statue of David, or sit
at one of the outdoor cafes and people-watch!
This evening enjoy the colorful Florentine
nightlife!

Day 7
Florence to La Spezia
Today
we first visit Pisa, home of the famous Leaning Tower, then we enter
the unspoiled Cinque Terre Region. This region is eighteen
kilometers of sheer rocky coastline in northern Italy with terraced
hills and vineyards sloping steeply down to the sea. It consists of
five little villages built into the rocks between the beach and the
hills. We stop at
Portovenere before continuing on to the picturesque villages of
Riomaggiore and Monterosso. Tonight we stay in La Spezia. (B,D)
Day 8
La Spezia to Milan
A day of enormous
contrast as we depart from the tranquil western coast of Italy
through the Appeninne Mountains to Milan, the fashion capital of
Italy - in the heart of the Po Valley. Shopping anyone? After
dinner, why not try out the nightlife of a big city? (B,D)
Day 9
Milan to Venice
This
morning we travel east to our afternoon stop at the walled town of
Sirmione on Lake Garda in Italy’s lake district. Then we are off to
Verona, famed for the Shakespeare tale Romeo and Juliet. Later we
head to our hotel close to the stunning city of Venice. (B)
Day 10
Venice Sightseeing
A
short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see
St Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges' Palace. We’ll
have ample time to wander the bustling streets, see the skill
required to create local crafts such as Venetian glass and fine lace
and visit one of the many amazing museums. Why not treat yourself to
a gondola ride and evening meal with your fellow travelers as a
perfect end to your Venetian experience? (B)
Day 11 Venice to Rome
Past medieval hillside villages and
through the mountains, we travel south to the fabled Seven Hills of
Rome after a stop in Bologna,
home of spaghetti bolognese.
After arrival in Rome, do as
the Romans do and stroll past the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and
Piazza Navona. Later be delighted by your first glimpse of Rome on
our evening sightseeing tour. (B,D)
Day 12
Rome Sightseeing
Ancient
and modern Rome awaits your discovery. It’s a free day to explore
with friends from the group. Why not start your day with a guided
tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel? In your free time
explore the Forum of Imperial Rome, search for Gladiators at the
Colosseum, shop for stylish Italian fashions or just watch the world
go by with a gelato or people watch at the Spanish Steps. (B)
Day 13
Depart Rome
Time to swap
addresses and email details and say "Arrivederci Roma" as our tour
ends after breakfast. (B)

Travel Insurance-
$109.00 Pay for your travel insurance with your
deposit & you receive “Any-Reason” insurance (in the form of
travel certificates to be used within a year with our tour
operator) allowing you to cancel for any reason up to 48
hours prior to your trip. Double your medical coverage &
gain terrorism coverage for only $35.00 additional
per person. Insurance is highly recommended. Insurance is
not refundable & does not cover air arrangements not made by
our tour operator.

Fine Print—Simply Italy 2008
Your payment for a
reservation on this trip constitutes consent and acknowledgement of
all the provisions in this Fine Print listed below and in the
Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions. Please make
sure you read both of these important pieces of information and call
us with any questions.
A non-refundable deposit
of $200.00 (plus travel insurance if you want it) is
due with your reservation.
Final payment
is due 60 days prior to
departure date. Credit cards (Visa or Mastercard) or checks
(made payable to Travel Advisors of Los Gatos) are accepted.
Cancellation Fees and Refunds
All cancellations must be in writing. Cancellation Fees as
follows: Regardless of when you cancel, there will be a charge from
Singles Travel Company of $50 applied to your credit card plus
the following cancellation fees: Insurance is non-refundable.

When the percentage cancellation fee
is less than the tour deposit, the cancellation fee will equal loss
of the deposit. No refunds on unused portions of the tour. A fee of
$30 per transaction may be charged for any alteration or revision
made to a reservation. Cancellation fees also apply to additional
accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour booked with the
tour operator of the trip. Due to air carrier guidelines, you may
be charged up to a $200 penalty if you cancel your air booked with
the tour operator within 120 days of departure. After airline
tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s
policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the tour
operator and may be non-refundable.
Travel insurance is highly recommended, please consider the purchase
of it carefully.
